Diana Agostini began her work in the non-profit education sector long before moving to San Diego in 2012. Her background in International Cooperation had her travel the world working on national and international projects for NGOs and smaller non-profits. In 2013 Diana joined SDIFF, where she combines her passion for cultural studies to the one for the arts, trying to find creative ways to promote critical thinking and inclusion. When not working on all things SDIFF, you can find her recruiting MBA students for the University of San Diego or running on trails. She's currently working on her Executive Master in Management at SDA Bocconi School of Management.
Antonio Iannotta received his PhD (Dottorato di ricerca) in Communication and Media Studies from University of Salerno (Italy). He has published essays on cinema, TV series, comics, theory of media, and two books: a monograph about Samuel Beckett and a study about Sound and Image in the Film Experience. He worked as Communications Director for a number of International Festivals in Italy. In San Diego, he has taught at UCSD and SDSU. He is Adjunct Associate Professor of Italian at University of the San Diego.
Music Producer Rosario Monetti supervises all musical aspects of the feStivale and our other projects throughout the season. Born in Naples, Rosario studied music and opera singing with renowned artists including Marcello Ferraresi, Sandra Lepore, Giovanni da Palestrina, and Katia Ricciarelli. After performing for years as soloist and member of the a capella choir Musica Antica all over Italy and Europe, Rosario moved to San Diego in 2009, and regularly appears at local venues and Italian festivals around Southern California. As a singer he performs in a wide variety of music genres from opera to jazz, swing, and more.
Stephanie Thompson is the founder and CEO of Stephanie Thompson Communications, working with a range of clients that include nonprofits, performing arts, festivals, and touring entertainment. She is a communications professional and writer with more than 20 years of experience, including eight years heading San Diego Opera’s media relations department, and has also taught journalism, English, and humanities. She’s not Italian in any way but often wishes she was.
