Sanjil Kumar has been with the San Diego Italian Film Festival for four years, starting as webmaster and overseeing all the organization’s digital platforms. His role has since expanded to include managing and supervising staff and events. A graduate of The Art Institute of California – San Francisco with a B.S. in Fashion Marketing, before joining SDIFF he worked with several companies, building in digital design and marketing. In his spare time, he likes to travel, and spend time with his family.

Artistic Director, Antonio Iannotta’s role has also been expanded, with increased directorial responsibility for planning, marketing and communications, and developing the Ristretto Awards program. Since launching the Ristretto Awards two years ago, SDIFF most recently received more than 75 short film entries, from multiple countries. The goal is to spin off the program into a separate spring event within the next two years.

In addition, the Board of Directors announced that Victor Laruccia, President of the board, will be appointed Executive Director, a position he has held previously. Victor is a founding member of SDIFF and has served in a leadership position at the organization since its creation. Together with Iannotta, he will continue to guide and shape the Festival’s activities and future.
