San Diego Italian Film Festival presents feStivale 2023, with the Theme of FORWARD
San Diego—The San Diego Italian Film Festival (SDIFF) returns to in-person screenings at the Museum of Photographic Arts at The San Diego Museum of Art, with eight films screened in person and 13 virtual short film selections., October 3 - 14, 2023.
The San Diego Italian Film Festival returns this fall with a powerful theme: Forward. We want to share together an unforgettable cultural experience at the Museum of Photographic Arts and the Digital Gym, featuring captivating feature films, two shorts screening evenings with thirteen shorts from our Ristretto Award competition, and a big party, our feSta, to celebrate the 17th edition of our main event.
Not to mention two special screenings in preparation of our feStivale, at the Digital Gym and La Paloma. In the last few years, Victor Laruccia, the Founder and the President of the San Diego Italian Film Festival, selected some key themes for our main event: in 2020 the topic was Activism; in 2021 Resilience; last year Choice. This is our first feStivale without Victor’s guidance, and we choose to preserve his legacy and vision with the movies and events that we have put together to move Forward, following our values and mission to build a piazza together with our community. We love to enjoy Italian movies and with that passion we aim to create an Italian perspective.
Through the art of storytelling, we celebrate our shared humanity and the joys of coming together to rise as one. Join us as we embark on a journey of hope, inspiration, and unity, discovering the remarkable stories that illuminate our path Forward.
Details of all feStivale 2023 events and films and ticket packages can be found on the website: www.sandiegoitalianfilmfestival.com. All films are screened at the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park or online.
