Mattia, a 32-year old building contractor in Perugia has lots of style, nice suits, nice car, gorgeous girlfriend, but he is cutting corners with site safety and hiring immigrant workers.
Kamal falls off a roof, with no safety net, and ends up in a plaster cast. Kamal had won a position in a chocolate making competition, where first prize would let him start his own business. Mattia can either face prison or stand in for Kamal at the competition....

Join us in celebrating the 2010 San Diego Italian Film Festival as you help us transform the Museum of Photographic Arts into an Italian piazza for the evening. We will enjoy a delicious dinner, Italian wines, beautiful music, dolci and the film Lezioni di cioccolato (The Chocolate Lesson) directed by Claudio Cupellini. Villa Capri Cucina Italiana, Caffe Calabria, and the Jim Bianchi Ensemble, generous supporters of the Italian Film Festival since its inception, will again be making this night memorable.
Admission to the film is limited to Gala attendees. There will be no admission to film without Gala ticket.
